This neat little simulator challenges you to design a simple rotor, that won’t shake itself to pieces.
Simply use the sliders to move the positions of the bearings and to adjust the bearing stiffness. Hit the analyse button to see how you got on. Don’t worry if you don’t get it first time, we didn’t either! Have another go and compare results. Keep going until you’ve designed a working system.
