My biography
I am an experienced availability, reliability and maintainability (AR&M) consultant, with 30 years’ working on a wide variety of programmes and domain areas, in defence and commercial markets.
I have wide technical experience across AR&M and apply a through life support approach. I have been involved with all stages across equipment life cycle - from initial concept to in-service support. I transfer knowledge and best practice from across these domains and tailor support requirements for the client’s specific needs.
With my background in UK defence, and I have been the lead AR&M expert for a number of programmes. Within these, I have been responsible for reliability and maintainability management, AR&M plans and case reports, and reliability growth and demonstration trials. I have also worked as part of large multi-disciplined teams, for both national and international programmes.
At Frazer-Nash, I support many procurement and supplier programmes, understanding the nuances and requirements of specific domain areas, and grown our support into new areas. Some examples have been in support of new underground rolling stock, airport baggage handling systems and heavy manufacturing plant equipment.
By applying a through life support solution approach, I also integrate with other technical areas, linking with asset management, integrated logistic support, whole life costing and obsolescence management.
