The contract supports the research and development of the NDA Areas of Research Interest in SF&NM and will take place over the next four years.
The team is comprised of partners including the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) alongside support from the Henry Royce Institute, Quintessa Limited and Equilibrion Limited.
Research and innovation are essential to drive the generation of knowledge and develop innovative technologies and techniques to support the NDA’s mission to clean up the UK’s early nuclear sites safely, securely and cost effectively with care for people and the environment.
The NRP is a key component that aims to address the challenges of decommissioning these nuclear sites by providing direct funding for research that supports strategic objectives including growing and maintaining diverse skills within the supply chain and promoting innovation across multiple sites.
