Frazer-Nash has recently become a ‘business hero’ through sponsoring ten Devon- and Plymouth- based social enterprises to become members of the Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce (DPCC).

The first enterprises, Pollenize CIC, Simply Counselling, Bikespace, Farleys Food Co-operative, It’s All About You Wellbeing, Nudge Builders, Diversity Business Incubator, The Data Place, and Fotonow all took up membership of the Chamber this month.

Plymouth-based Business Manager, Ivor Humphrey, said:

“At Frazer-Nash we want to do things that matter, and to help make a difference in society – and social enterprises have that same commitment, to create positive social change. By sponsoring local social enterprises to join the Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, we will be giving them access to a hugely diverse network of business advice.

“We wholeheartedly support the benefits that collaboration offers: we work with a huge number of partners to deliver solutions to our clients. Through helping social enterprises become members of DPCC, I hope that they will gain the opportunity to form partnerships and collaborations that, in turn, will allow them to deliver their missions and goals.”

Stuart Elford, Chief Executive of the Devon and Plymouth Chamber, said:

“Our Business Heroes programme has been created with the help of Plymouth Social Enterprise Network.

“It offers charities and social enterprises the chance to thrive again as we prepare for recovery, by funding their membership to the Chamber.

“We’re thrilled that Frazer-Nash Consultancy has signed up as our first Business Hero, working with the Plymouth Social Enterprise Network to support 10 fantastic social enterprises.

“This scheme fits perfectly with the firm’s proud history of helping organisations deliver innovative systems, engineering and technology solutions to make lives safe, secure, sustainable, and affordable.

“It also demonstrates Frazer-Nash’s commitment to helping those charities and social enterprises who do such remarkable work throughout Plymouth and the wider South West.

“Thanks to Frazer-Nash, we are proud to welcome 10 new members, who will gain access to the huge benefits that businesses enjoy as members of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber.”

Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit independent membership organisation for businesses. The Chamber represents over 1,000 businesses, who employ approximately 40,000 people in Devon and the wider South West region, ranging from the smallest to the largest employers in Devon, across all sectors of the economy.
